Limbach was originally a typical village in the Small Carpathian wine region. Currently it is a popular suburban satellite of Bratislava with relatively extensive construction of new houses. Among the popular sites lies the Sun Valley recreational area, through which the local stream winds. The house stands on a beautiful plot of land in this vicinity. The rectangular ensemble is placed on a moderate slope. Although extremely compact, its core is kept open by a glass atrium under skylights. Housing is being developed on two floors: the ground floor forms the zone of daily use which is extended by a wing with a swimming pool. Along with bedrooms and bathrooms, the upstairs area includes a study that is placed in an unusual extension. Photo: Paťo Safko
