The lot was not perfect, but it still provided sufficient space to complement the surrounding buildings. The new project boldly tackled this triangular land area and incorporated it into its plans with the utmost comfort and practicality. The ground floor and basement remained more or less open with optimal parameters for a shop and gallery. The remaining three floors are used as large-area offices with sanitary facilities and a terrace on the first floor. This unique solution is so versatile that it can be flexibly adjusted according to usage needs. Facades play with the vertical raster of the subtle wooden wall lining and with the alternately placed high format French windows. In 2010 the building was nominated for a Dušan Jurkovič Award and an ARCH magazine Award. Photo: Paťo Safko
